HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER ROOT BEER PULLED PORK SANDWICHES, IF YOU LIKED IT SAY

HELLO

Ingredients

  • lb pork roast 2 to 3 lb
  • 12 oz root beer 1 can – your favorite
  • 18 oz barbecue sauce 1 bottle – your favorite
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • coleslaw

Instructions

  • Place pork in slow cooker.
  • Pour root beer over the pork.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours or until it shreds easily with two forks.
  • Remove pork and shred it using two forks.
  • Drain liquid from slow cooker.
  • Return shredded pork to slow cooker and stir in barbecue sauce.
  • Continue heating on low for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Serve on hamburger buns with coleslaw if desired.

Notes

There are lots of options when it comes to pork roasts. I have used a pork loin, shoulder and butt in this recipe and all work wonderfully. Boneless or bone-in are also fine. You just want to make sure your cut of meat fits comfortably in your slow cooker.This recipe can be easily doubled.
